Both will be of Billy LaPlant and a buddy playing fiddle tunes. I don't know the name of either of them, but Billy is getting back to me shortly with them. Here's the first.

I just got home from Harrison yesterday. There's more old-time players there every year. Those two pickers are among the best and nice guys, too. The Columbia, Mo old-time crowd and the Fayetteville, Ar bunch just about have me ready to move. This is an exellent event at a great time of year. No charge for admittance. Bluegrass, jazz, swing, old-time, gospel, maybe just a smidge of Irish trad. Just a guess, but probably fifteen jams going in seperate rooms, hallways, foyers and outside. This is the first year I remember playing outside and we were seeking the shade. It's an annual event for me.

Is the first one Lost Indian? Hard for me to tell sometimes, most of the OT players I know do Cherokee Shuffle in D, but the B part sounds more like LI.

I think the first tune is Lost Indian and maybe the 2nd one was Burt County Breakdown but the b part sounds a bit different. Was that your Northfield that he was picking, Keith? Sounded good!
That was my Northfield, yessir. Both Lloyd and Billy kept playing it. Both loved it. Lloyd kept tracking me down and stealing my Martin guitar!
Lost Indian is the first one.
Thanks for posting this. Like Lost Indian, but really dig the second one and hope someone here can name it. Such a cool groove.
Thx again, Keith.
The second one is called Jumping the Strings, according to Billy LaPlant. I can't find it anywhere else, though.

Thanks again, Keith. It's one I can work on, a good tempo for me.
