It's more difficult than it's ever been, to make any money or gain recognition for writing original music.     If I were in this for the money, I would have starved to death a long time ago. After a lifetime of songwriting, I think my net profit is about minus $950.

    I would be more than flattered if someone wanted to 'borrow' a song of mine for a project. If it made money, so much the better. That's why I note that they're copyrighted.

    yeah. it was at an open mic at a local bar last week. we're calling it a rock-n-roll string band.
