Wow, that's a whole lot of headliners in one place already, can't wait to see it when it's finalized. Impressive!
Never Argue with an Idiot, they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
OOh... I may just have to pop on down for that one...

I am completely stoked for this year's GF. I am especially looking forward to Bromberg! I'm curious about Tim O and a solo set, presuming that he'll be there with Hot Rize.

There was more to the last update than I realized!
From Assistant Director Mary Burdette:
Grey Fox recently added the Punch Brothers, Noam Pickelny and Friends
featuring Aoife O'Donovan; The Chris Thile and Michael Daves Duo, plus
the legendary Jesse McReynolds performing "Songs of the Grateful Dead"
Tribute from his latest CD project along with classic Jim & Jesse hits
from the last 60 years. Jesse McReynolds and David Grisman are both at
Grey Fox on Friday.
As for advanced ticket sales, Mary said:
Get 'em while they're still just $155 per person, camping included from
Wednesday morning thru sundown on Sunday. Seriously, can you believe all
the music you get for that price?
Thile and Daves had one of the great sets at GF last year. Jesse McReynolds did a heartbreaking version of 'Black Muddy River' at Wind Gap last year (or the year before?) Can't wait to see more :-). I'll miss Crooked Still not being there (they're on hiatus) but this years line-up is looking awesome!
Wow, I already have my ticket but things are getting more exciting every day. Grisman, Thile, McReynolds... besides the main stage they should have some smokin' mandolin masters workshops!

Any idea what they charge for day tickets? I can't do the whole thing, but I'd like to hear at least one day's worth. No day ticket prices listed yet.

Another big Artist Lineup update HERE!
Another addition HERE.
Been listening to Broberg since high school in late 70's/80's
Last time Bromberg played at GF, he played with his quartet so I expected it to be more bluegrass oriented like his CD from Carnegie Hall (Not labeled as it as he seemed to have home produced it on CDRs). He did his usual blues and such saying he'd leave the bluegrass playing to all the pros that were there. Then again, Bromberg plays what he wants to, not what the people want to hear. -No!, Don't do that!!!! .It kills me when somebody yells out a tune I want to hear. He will automatically not do it. His stage presence sometimes kills me.
There is a plethora of great mando players in the lineup again!
This year will be my first trip to Greyfox -- I found out that my wife's sister has a summer cottage in Acra only 10 miles from the site, so I'll be dropping the wife off and hauling my pop-up to the festival. Everybody's happy!
Stellar lineup. I'm a big Tim O'Brien fan but this will be my first in-person of Red Knuckles & The Trailblazers. Likewise Grisman.
Heck, I even sang back-up for Bromberg once at a club in Lynchburg, VA. He wanted a "big, gospel-ly sound" for his finale and my bandmates and I joined him onstage -- what a trip!

glad you are joining us. We usually have a mando cafe meet and greet on Friday. Time and place TBD. Look for a thread about it a couple of weeks out. D'addario usually comes and gives us some strings and I will have some mando cafe stickers.

funny.... Sort of funny....Sort of funny also
Please note our correction in this year's showcase bands: Too Blue, String Fingers, The Get Down Boys, The Louvat Brothers and two Berklee Roots Roadshow bands, including 2011 National Old-Time Banjo Champion, Lukas Pool. And the correction is that the Louvat Bros are from Belgium!
From Grey Fox Assistant Director Mary Burdette...
Good morning, Grey Fox fans!
As many of you know, the Grey Fox lineup is complete and it's amazing, with more bands this year than ever before. To make room for them all, we'll be spreading them around the festival stages and we're really excited about it!
For instance: Bands who are with us two days will play the main stage one day and another stage the next. And some of the bands who are with us only one day will play a set on the main stage and another set on either the masters or dance stage.
More bands... more performances... more fun!
The lineup, as we say, is complete and amazing!
