my, my. so many folks trying all these different strings...and NO ONE sending poor me their used and usually discarded string labels. what's a fella gotta do to get a music room wallpapered?
ah, it's a sad, sad story.

i know mandobassman was looking for flats and as a long time user myself, i can understand and sympathize. having tried flats on an acoustic archtop yrs ago w unsatisfactory results i get as close as i can to the tone and feel of flats (ok, it's not all that close) w silk and bronze. i've had good results from John Pearse and LaBella sets. both are considerably warmer and smoother than straight brnz or ph brnz.

...and their string labels look kinda cool too (cough, cough, hint, hint)
    just groove, baby!

I still need your string labels!

What an amazing coincidence that you posted today. Earlier today I gathered up some old sets of strings that I have been keeping around and remembered that quite a while ago I had seen some posts about someone wanting string labels. I was actually going to look through the search engine to locate it, but now I don't have to. Send me a PM with your address and I'll send you what I have.
