    Default Double-neck Cittern/Guitar - Bouzouki/Guitar - OM/Guitar

Actually it's an Ovation 12/6 string with 5 courses on the 12-string tuned dDgGdDAADD . I left the bass strings "octaved". It's fun to be able to switch on the fly and to have a capo on one or both...

    It's a standard Ovation Doubleneck CSE-225. On-board pre-amp with equalizer, tuner, 3-way switch (6-string, 12-string, both), and 10 strings on the 12-string neck. Shallow bowls, well-balanced.

Same EE's tuned down to DD
    Same BB's - tuned down to AA's
Removed the gG and moved the dD down
Moved the aA down and tuned gG
Moved the eE down and tund dD

The bass course is now bare.

    Here's what it looks/sounds like...

A couple or three tunes on an Ovation Doubleneck with the 12-string modified to a 10-string Cittern tuned dDgGqdDAAEE. Fields of Athenry, I'll Tell me Ma, Pachelbel's Canon

    Sounds great :-)

But the space between the pairs of string would be a little too narrow for me. That is why I think about taking off one pair of string and insert a new nut and saddle at the bridge. With a nut of 43mm this should work. What I do not know is if I can adjust the ankles of the strings at the bridge.

(Sorry for my poor English. I am not a native speaker)

I removed one course. It is a 10-STRING Cittern - new nut and reslotted saddle. Plenty of space.

Eddie, this is brilliant. I'm LMAO. How many things can one do with an Ovulation guitar, eh?

    Tremendous.

    Thanks!
