Mandolin Tasting is on again.
My apologies to the Wintergrass producers for the unedited press release yesterday about he mandolin tasting. It was my decision to terminate the tasting, not theirs. On again, off again, will Cartwright ever make up his mind? Well he did make up his mind and its on. The glitches have been taken care of and the scheduling is set with John Reischman for 6:30 PM on the 26th, Thursday night. Registration begins at 5:00 PM in Ballroom 1 of the Sheraton Hotel in Tacoma Washington. If you are going to be at Wintergrass and have an unusual or unique mandolin that you think would make for an interesting sample and would loan it to us for a couple of hours to compare it to other mandolins, please email Ken Cartwright at kenc@wvi.com. We would also invite you to come and meet Scott Tichenor of Mandolin Cafι, and John Reischman. We invite you to come and listen to these instruments and others including a nearly undocumented and non played Loar that was recently discovered in the Seattle area. Ken Cartwright
