10.26.1886 is the patent date for the tailpiece. It does not tell you when the mandolin was built.
This is a very plain instrument in bad condition, with a top crack, not to mention the separations in the bowl. If you had it restored, you would be very fortunate to sell it for the amount you paid for the restoration.
