I have a Washburn Bowlback Cremonatone from the late 1800's or early 1900's
serial # 144437. What year was it manufactured.

Sounds like 1896 to 1905. More details of headstock, label, etc. are needed to pin it down closer. Good pictures of the details are second best to hands on inspection.

Thanks. The rear of the headstock is engraved metal. It all appears original with the metal tail piece cover having the patent #
1091 engraved. Labels inside sound box are in excellent condition, I'll take pictures and post later. I purchased from Bennet Hill
Monstary Nuns who had it for years and kept it in a canvas case. Hope to find date of manufacture and history of this wonderful
    instrument.
