    Default Pick Guard ???

Hey all, I am trying to purchase my first mandolin. I thought I had decided on a Kentucky KM 165, but I have noticed that it does not have a pick guard. I see a lot of Mandolins without pick guards. I strum pretty hard so how important is a pick guard? can you add one or should you buy one already attached?
    thanks for the help.

Not sure why this is in the "eBay etc." forum...? Perhaps a moderator might want to relocate...

You can add one easily enough. Some here would say why. Personally I like a pick guard. They do protect ... no doubt about it.
