Tried to reflect some of the f-hole shape when i cut the head shape, don't know if I like it but now it's done.

Keep it simple I thought to myself since I never get paid for the time invested in these instruments. Didn't really work out that way.

I have a question not regarding this build but possibly my next. I plan to put a virzi in my next build and I have all the measurements but I'm not sure of the material of the feet. Are the feet made out of maple or other hardwood?
I don't work very fast but here's the latest update. The mandolin is ready for finishing. The mandolin on the right is my latest order.

Nice! Looking forward to hearing a sound clip if you get around to it,
Scott

Nice work, I like that peghead design.

I second the nice peghead design comment, good change from all the standard open book styles.
If you want something that "barks" get a damn dog
It is amazing how creative people can be with these Saga kits. They are great kits for the beginner but, for the more sophisticated who want to individualize them, they are great as well.
Terrific work.

what colour stains on the f hole version? Love the center colour. Also what is the clear coat?
