    hey folks, just wanted to share. my partner and i were featured in 2 local and one regional paper (not bad for 2 middle aged weekend warriors). the regional already has their stuff up on the online version (though no pics- they had 2 nice ones of us practicing and one of our cd cover). if youre interested- check it out at the following link.

    hey, thanks for asking. it is a 2 point - kennaquhair p2 mandolin- induced arch, all customed, great price and sweet as sugar. it has a newell tailpiece on it as well that was the inspiration for the inlays and rosette (btw- inlays are real ivory. doug uses recycled piano keys- gorgeous!).

    i like to think unique and beatutiful rather than strange. i saw on doug's site that he had built the p2 octave and really dug the shape. a little more unique than his standard teardrop, and got the first p2 mandolin he ever made.\
