Leather boot lace with a Hangmans noose does the job just fine. Im patial to my 'Roo strap as well.

Nicely crafted strap there, K-Man. One thing you might consider is affixing to headstock further north of the nut. The way it's positioned, it looks like it could get in the way of making them fancy jazz chords

But if it works for you, go for it.

Randy Hogan straps are my faves. Dale Ludewig sent me some rubber washers to slip over the strap buttons once the strap is on, and, brother, that strap ain't slipping off accidentally. It's even kind of hard to get off on purpose, but that's a good thing. An easy, inexpensive fix: Thanks, Dale.

Well this won't sway any opinions but play without a strap whenever I can, which is most of the time. On the rare occation I have to play standing up, well I have a collection of straps I don't much care for that I pull out of a drawer and use and put back hoping not to have to see them again.

Now that have have the resonator, though, things are different. I can't play that thing without a strap. I'll let you know what I decide.

I finally found a strap at my music store:

    http://www.amazon.com/Levys-Deluxe-L...1245209&sr=8-6

That's what it looks like - I paid a little more, but it's more comfortable, than the braided strap I made, it's adjustable, too - and it wasn't too much that if I find a nicer one later on, well, you know
