Default Birth of an OM and conception of another

I stopped by Fletcher Brock's shop today and caught him just as was stringing up our own Linds' octave mandolin. It is still in the white, and I was honored to play it's very first chord. As you would expect from Fletcher it sounds fantastic even within seconds of being first strung, and I sure it will improve dramatically with time and finishing. Congrats Linsdey, it won't be long now!

I couldn't stand it. I have been holding out, but as of today I am officially on Fletcher's list for my own OM.

It is indeed! I have been watching Fletcher send OMs out the door for nearly two years now and pining for each of them. It will be a fun process finally having my own built.

Let's see a Fletcher Brock OM AND a Lawrence Smart 10-String?

Yay, Chip! I can't wait to see mine in person and play it. And when you get yours, maybe you can show me some things on it next time I see you! One thing I forgot to ask you -- how does the neck feel? Fletch put a really slender neck on it for my stubby little hands. I didn't realize how slender until I saw that pic you sent of the two octaves he's making side by side. I think it's going to be a dream to play.

Waiting for the paint to dry is a cruel, cruel process. I'm jealous that you're up there and able to see my baby take shape!
