Any suggesttions what to overspray an electric guitar with, that has a bunch of autographs on it? It's a Yamaha, so I'm sure it's some type of polyesther finish on the guitar. The signature are in some type of silver marker. A customer thinks this low end guitar is suddenly valuable because some morons wrote their names on it, all writing is totally un-intelligible. Thanks. I'm trying talk them out of this.

Thanks guys, disaster has been averted. I refused the job. I tend to use duct tape for the good jobs. When ever I see instruments with writing on them, I always think that if it were mine, I kick whoever wrote on it's butt then try to get that stuff off.

yeah, wouldnt you be sitting pretty when you destroyed their prized investment grade instrument by overspraying it and having the sovents break down and smear the signatures. i see this sometimes and laugh, some band signs a $99 epiphone guitar, (usually some charity benefit) and the owner puts it on ebay for $10,000.
