Adhesive

I was wondering what the best type of adhesive/s to use.

I have seen several types from Luthier suppliers on the internet, and have heard of several types.

Since this is my first Mandolin and all from scratch I was wondering what the best was for the Head, body, etc.?

Also, is there any adhesives/glues that I can purchase from say Lowe's, or a builders hardware store, and not have to special order it.

I just do not want to compromise by buying something that may or may not work as an experiment...I want something that has been tried, tested, and works.

Appreciat any suggestions that the anyone has.

For an adhesive, Franklins Titebond is tried and true, and available at the hardware store.

For a glue, I like hot hide glue better for most things, especially in new construction as opposed to repair, but it takes special equipment, (but not that special) and requires some practice and skill to use.

Hot hide glue, it's great stuff. It's light, sticky, it's easily solved, and repairable.

Gopher sticks the best, but nothing tastes as good as possum!
