    What do you think of Gold Tone mandolins?

    I linked the thread below as I posted pictures of my Gold Tone a couple of months ago. I have been very pleased with this mid-line mandolin. It is LOUD and very good on the treble side. The sustain is medium and the base is a little light (for my taste), but overall worth more than I paid for it. I had a freind here on the cafe play my Gold Tone and he was surprised at the quality and tone. He owns a BRW. So that is high praise, indeed. Please email me anytime if you have questions.
