I got one of the papa picks in yesterday and out of the bag as is, I wasn't impressed at all. I spent some time working on a bevel and polishing and will have to spend some more picking time with it but after the bevel work and a few minutes, it's a good sounding pick. Good tone and volume. It's a keeper.

The Cafe is starting to feel like the camera geek forums where undertalented photographers endlessly discuss the latest zoom from that manufacturer, the one with the reverse-flow image stabilisation and ultra-wide ultrasonic f-stop technology and NASA-inspired lens coatings and filter rings of burnished unobtainium. A pick with zoom and an ultrasonic f-stop? I really want one of those! If they come up with one that will "bracket" all the available and known techniques and has a built in digital tuner in sync with the automatic tuning machines. Build it and they will come...
