Default The Mandolin and the Husband

On my husband's birthday he bought me this. Our first date was on Valentine's Day 7 years ago. Guess there's no itch in our house.

Introducing my Sawchyn A-2 lookalike built in 1988 and purchased at Dusty Strings in Seattle.

It has a voice! I had a Weber Hyalite that I had been playing, when I picked this up it asked to go home with me. It sounds just amazing, now I'll need to work hard to meet its standards!

Working hard to meet the standards of the instruments we own, that is a common condition around here. Its also the fun part. May we all have more mandolin than we can handle.

That sure is a beautiful instrument.

"the mandolin and the husband" sounds like one of aesop's fables ... with a happy ending.

Ver pretty indeed. May I ask for a closer photo of the soundhole rosette, please?

That's lovely; maybe I should get a husband. Having a (ex)wife didn't get me anything like this!
