Default What is up with the text only?

The browser I primarily use is Google Chrome. When I load MC Forum using Chrome on this computer all I get is this: I know it is not a problem on the Cafe's end because I can load ok using Chrome on another computer, but I still would like some ideas what I need to do. It just recently started happening.

    Hi Bill,

I use Chrome too, without problems. I believe that web pages display like this when they have no "style sheet" to tell them how to display the page. Could it be a setting in Chrome, like "allow cookies" is unchecked? (Go to "Spanner" menu, then Options->Under The Bonnet->Content Settings) - I'm not recommending that you alter these though - that's up to you!

That's the display when the cascading style sheet--that information that assists in the visual display--doesn't properly load. An easy fix for this, usually, is to do a forced reload which requires your browser to re-call all items that make up a web page. You do that by holding down the shift key while hitting refresh (or reload, what ever you want to call it). I have a variety of similar problems with Chrome. I'm a big Google supporter but Chrome has been a huge disappointment to me. I'm not saying that so others can get into a browser discussion on a mandolin forum, just saying I'm not surprised this happened to you because I've experienced similar issues while using it.

The forced reload took care of it.
    Thanks.

Typed too soon. It took care of the way the home page for the forum looks, but the individual thread pages and the different section pages are still a bit screwy.

Same problem. Use a different browser and that'll all go away. That's been my experience.

Bummer. I've pretty much made the complete shift over to Chrome, and though I've not had problems with the Cafe, I've found some of my online bill-pay sites yelling at me to switch to another browser. It's still my favorite, though.
