    Default Eastman MD-305 can it be buffed???

    i just purchased an md-305, it's A-style with a matte finish and where my finger touches it started to shine pretty easily, can i buff out the rest to match or no? if so what to do... thanks in advance.

    it says on their website that it is satin laquer, so i'm no good at that what would you do.

    I once polished a matte finished Larrivee guitar by gently polishing with 4-0 steel wool followed by polishing with Scratch-X polish. A lot of elbow grease involved, but it turned out looking good. Never gets to a high gloss surface but looked more semi-gloss and vintage looking.

    Actually, I later did the same thing with a Weber Bitterroot. Same result.
