Wow, Ken that really is an amazing painting! How long does it take you to do a painting with that much detail? Awesome!

This is a masterpiece! Ken, I hope (hint-hint) that you can post a video on You Tube so we can see/hear it in action.

Ken, I say this simply out of interest at how different peoples' tastes and preferences can be. I love the mandolin - from the front - but personally don't care for the painting one little bit.

Different strokes for different folks, as they say. But I'd still love to hear how it sounds - and I still envy the heck out of your ability to build such a beautiful instrument.

I normally don't feel one way or another about the paintings, but that one is spectacular. Nice job.

It takes a couple of days to paint that, all day, many hours, then several days to wait for it to dry before the oil varnish goes on. I realize it isn't for everybody, it isn't meant to be...........I just do whatever I feel liike doing.

And fair enough and well done for pursuing your own creative dreams and urges. If I lived to be three hundred I'd never be able to paint like that!

Ken - that's another beauty! Is that a new/different tailpiece? Looks like it says 'Silverangel' on it. That's sweet-looking too!
    Keep up the great work!

It's a James Tailpiece with "The Silverangel" engraved on it. I normally use Orrico, but can't engrave them, both are fine talipieces though, works of art really...........

Ken, I appreciate your abilities. I always liked your older, not quite gibson "F" styled mandos with the paintings, and your distressed finishes too. You do a very good job of keeping them looking classic and original at the same time. I bet Lloyd couldn't have painted one of those either.

I don't normally care for paintings on a mandolin, but I like this one. What's the mandolin's name Ken?
