Triplet on full chords

I play from 1 year now, octave mandolin.

I can play very fast reel, but i don't succeed to play triplet on full chords ( not on 1 strings but on all the strings) when i play a reel without do a break after...

You know, like Donnal Lunny. I like this effect.:laugh:

Have you a method to play it ? ( pick angle, wrist position..)

It's not too hard. Loose wrist is the trick. Practice strumming, it's hard to get much more specific. It's likely a DUDUDU pattern on a reel, DUD DUD or DDU DDU on a jig.. Try practicing on just 2, then three courses.. then up to however many you have!

Loose wrist definitely. A soft plectrum might also be a help.

I can't reach that one either but this one sounds like Tuvan throat singing.

I thought you were asking about how you could improve your playing! If I could play my own Freshwater Octave Mandola THAT well, I wouldn't be looking for tips on how to improve!
