Default (Take Me Home) Country Roads

Seeing that I am a mountaineer by birth, I am hoping that someone on here might have the melody tablature for Country Roads. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tim,
I don't have a tab of it. But it's a really simple melody. Every note pretty much comes from one octave of the major scale.
    I usually play it in G. Chords: G D Em C G D C G interlude: Em D G G C G D G D C C D

Start the "Take me home ..." part with the notes G A B

Spend a few minutes with it. It will jump out at you!

Don't mean to change your topic, but here is a really good song about West Virginia.

I don't want to sound ungrateful to those of that have posted, especially Philphool, and I do appreciate the songs about my home state but I would think that somebody somewhere must have the tabs for this song.

Here are guitar chords and lyrics, but I've also not been able to locate notation or tab for this song -- but to Phil's point, if you start with the chords, you should be able to figure out the melody from there.

BTW, though the keyboards in his version are kind of cheesy, the uke parts of Iz's version of this song are pretty cool, and might give you some ideas on where you could take it on the mandolin. (If you are not familiar with Iz, the late, great, Israel Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole was a popular uke player/singer from Hawaii, and enjoyed some fame outside of his genre with his beautiful medley cover of What a Beautiful World/Somewhere Over the Raindow, only backed up by his Uke.)
