    Have you thought about increasing the size of the experiment and creating a guitar? I love the look.

    The back is just a press fit at the moment, though a permanent mounting would probably use magnets. After playing it for a while there is not as much difference between the sound with the back on or off as I had expected. It may not be worthwhile making them with a back as it could get tedious getting the back on an off to tune it. Anyway here are a couple of mp3 files of a couple of polkas played with the back on and off. Recorded on a Zoom H2 about a foot away from the instrument at 192kbs and turned into 128kbs mp3s without any tweaking.

    Very very innovative. I love it when folks re-invent the wheel. And speaking of wheels, the square ones on my mule cart give a very bumpy ride... Would you have a look at them?
