These will be finished in about 2 weeks. One is the standard curly maple treatment the other is Sycamore back and sides with a Myrtle neck. Now.....back to wet sanding

Barry,
Are those "econo-models"? I noted the lack of binding on the back and headstock. Love the rosewood overlay on the one headstock
Thanks
Several mandolins of varying quality-any one of which deserves a better player than I am.......
Hey Mike, yes they are econo models. They have rosewood fingerboards too. The sycamore model is almost like Bulldog # 1 , just hope it sounds as good.
Barry, those look great! I love the sycamore mandolin!
I am putting strings on that one tonight....I will post some sound clips tommorrow.
Barry, do you get your sycamore locally? I can't find anyone around here that has any.
Skip. the sycamore I bought came from Ohio. I got it about 10 years ago, i will try to find the name of the mill and PM you. I have it strung up, and it didnt disappoint me.....its a boomer
Thanks Barry!
If that sycamore one sounds like your #1 (which is sitting in it's case by my desk right now), then it's gonna be a killer.
