I have a video of this show, had Skaggs band (Shawn Lane on mando, with Hicks and Billy Joe Foster) and Larry Sparks' band. His mandolin picker was a guy by the name of Joe Clark, good chops. Anybody know if he's still on the scene? He was playing a blonde F5 and he was right on.
Joe Clark is currently playing mandolin with Melvin Goins. Great player.

AlanN, I have a video of an OLD Austin City Limits broadcast with Dr. Ralph, Skaggs (w/Shawn Lane on mandolin) and Larry Sparks (w/Joe Clark on mandolin). I was really taken with Joe Clark and the mandolin he played. It looked rather rustic and had a Monteleone tailpiece. His playing was extraordinary.
