    I owned a 92 Flatiron F5 Artist. It was a very nice mandolin in fit and finish with good treble. I just wanted more bottom end. I'm sure many of them have great bottom end. The old owner of our local guitar shop at the time had a fantastic sounding Flatiron F5. It's like all mandolins...just have to find the right one for you. Nick

    Hi your right their all differant I have a Gibson F5v thats pretty good I was looking for one that jumps out and barks and heard these Flatirons do that thanks dc
