I suggest that you post a bunch of helpful fiddle information on the fiddle lovers social group site. Like for example...do you use a finger on the left hand as a sort of c*po (note the skillful avoidance of the actual term) when playing up the neck, and if so, can you cover more than two strings, and if so, how do you move it around. Just some helpful "up the neck" advice would be good. Problem solved. Let me know if you need to fill up some time around Easter.
Done. Thanks for the suggestion! (although, I wasn't anticipating something...earnest![]()

Great....Maybe for fun we could work on a song like Sally Goodin and try it on different keys....
Fly a kite in a blizzard and get pictures of it. That's either a sure fire conversation starter or room clear-er.

Typically, I can only get photos of me performing activities which can be executed one-handed (my wife doesn't typcally encourage me)
But, are you suggesting one-handed kite flying, then? (lightbulb goes on..) But, a conversant fire starter could probably clear a room..
Buy another mandolin. Whenever I run short of activities, that's what I do. There's an Eastman DGM-2 under my tree, ho ho ho!

I'd sooner be able to get a photo of me selling one..I've sold/bought at a 2:1 ratio this month.
I'm jealous, Allen.

But how can he resist the temptation to open it early?
Maybe he promised Santa he would restring all his other instruments first! For Allen, he could then open the new one come May 2010!

Santa had nothing to do w/it; John Bernunzio took $1K off the list price, and I said, "why not?" John says the DGM-3 is going to be a round-hole mandola, so all would-be mandola players, better get the credit cards out...
