    Default Weber Mandolin Video Library

Hey all Cafe Members who also happen to be Weber owners. As you may or may not know we are trying to update our website www.soundtoearth.com continually and one of the most used features have been the player videos. Mary Weber has been doing a great job at keeping things up on the website and has asked me to post this so Weber owners can share their experiences with everyone:

I just wanted to issue an invitation to Weber owners. Our new website features Players’ Videos and they were watched 1000 times in October! We love these things. Besides being fun to watch, it would be great to eventually have at least one video of each of the instruments- and instruments of different construction (tone bars –vs- X bracing for instance). There are many people who have never really heard a mandola, octave or mandocello so I issue a special call to these players.

The videos do not have to be professionally done, and only 3-5 minutes long. We can get them off of your YouTube or myspace site (with written permission), by email or send us a DVD. It’s even better to have a corresponding Player Bio with written comments and a few pictures which we link to your video. Just go to the following link to Create your Bio and/or Video. The system is new so let Tony know directly if you experience any problems setting it up. Thanks, and have a great Thanksgiving! Mary Weber

P.S. Early next year we are going to add Care & Feeding Videos to the site (adjusting your Truss Rod, etc.)

Thanks to everyone for reading and/or participating, and Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at Weber : )

    Tony,

Thanks for posting this. The new site looks great and the current videos are great as well. I'm not biased or anything, but there is this one really cool song on there called "Briggadier Boogie," .... It's played by a handsome domesticated fellow who has a Fern customized with the following appointments:

    1. red spruce top
    2. one-piece back
    3. custom neck
    4. pearl nut

Marcus, send that cello my way, I'd love to make another video with it!! Now they get this going when I no longer own a Weber! I guess I should pick one up so I can be part of the club!

Is it cheating to post a video to the Weber Library if your face isn't in the shot? I've got a bunch of clips playing my Gallatin, just none where my face is visible.

    Cheers,

    Jill,

Tony P. at Weber is your best resource for any questions, so hopefully he'll chime in here again.

All Weber related videos are welcome, if it features an instrument it is fair game!!! I plan on submitting some shortly and I plan on hiding behind the instrument too : )
