Comments and Set-up question ~ Trinity College - OM
Greetings all.
I recently picked up an Trinity College Octave Mandolin, model TM-625. Seems like a nice OM, but it is the first one I have ever owned (or played for that matter). Would love to hear comments or information from those of you more familiar with these.
Does anyone have any comments or suggestion about set-up for this instrument. It definitely is not intonated and the action seems high. There is some minor fret buzz, but may just be the nature of these. The information on these is that they have a bone insert in bridge, the tailpiece seems pretty solid.... has anyone found changes in setup or parts (ie adjustable bridge, ? different tailpiece) that you would say substanially improved their tone or playabilty.
thanks in advance.
Larry
