the upper part of my mandolin's adjustable bridge has aquired a crack. (ie. the part that moves up and down on the posts). I could return the instrument on warrenty, but since it was fairly cheap(Rogue) I am not sure this is worth the shipping cost, plus it would leave me 2 weeks with out an instrument to play.
If I take the strings off the mando, will this little piece of wood be easy to remove and replace(it looks like it will slide right off the post)? And secondly, should I be able to go to a music store and buy a semi-universal replacement one that will fit on my adjustment posts for ~ 20$ ?
Any advice would be appreciated?
