I was going to say the same thing! The back of the neck and the back of the mando are just amazingly beautiful. You are one lucky person!
    If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???

Hey trickymonk, nice mando, it seems David is really making them nicer with each one. Have fun with it and good picking.

    Hey Andy,
I have received it! Sorry I haven't given a follow up post - I've been too busy playing! The mando is absolutely everything I imagined and more. My skills do not do it justice. It arrived perfectly set-up from David (the only thing I've done is changed the strings). It has a rich woody tone and plenty of volume. I am extremely pleased with both the quality and value. I would like to publicly thank David Brown for his professionalism and skill. It was a wonderful experience doing business with him!

"awesome...I love the king snake peghead inlay!"

Slight correction there... that isn't one of those harmless North American "king snakes," but Pseudechis australis commonly called the Mulga or King Brown Snake.
The King Brown is one of the most dangerous snakes in Oz (Australia).

A deadly snake on a truly "deadly" (excellent, superb) mandolin.

The King Brown snake is firmly ranked in the top 10 most venomous snakes in the world, and that quilting is truly venomous.Awesome!
