I recently saw and heard this mando (sounded pretty good) but was wondering how it stacks up plugged in. And if anyone else has anything else to contribute about this mando, please add your two bits.

Wow -- I didn't know Goldtone came out with a copy of the Rigel A Plus, but here it is at The Mandolin Store. I've not played either copy, but I'm glad they dumped the fretboard binding and flat fretboard that was on the Goldtone GM-110 Rigel clone. (Now if they only came out with either in Mandohack Blue)
BTW, I think I read here before that the GM-110 sounded good plugged in, but was just OK unplugged, so if you liked this one's sound unplugged, you might be happy with it plugged in as well.

Elsewhere here I've read that Pete Langdell, of the original Rigel Co., was involved in the design of he GoldTone knock-off.
The pickup in my A+ Deluxe is wonderful, sounds great, always works. So if Pete specified that same thing for the GoldTone, it will be great.
