    I think I should know what piece Caterina is performing here:

    The video item is announced as a Fantasie from a suite in D minor by K. F. Abel (original for viola da gamba?). It's lovely music and playing.

    She calls it a soprano lute but I think it is what most of us call mandolino. I am sure that there is someone here who knows the maker and which instrument (if any) was copied.

    The Mandolino that Caterina plays is built by Frank-Peter Dietrich. The original instrument was built by Francesco and Giuseppe Presbler in 1769. You can see more pictures in his site:

    The Germans call it a Baroque Mandoline.
