    That is how a Bulgarian luthiery looked like in 1915. You can see the most instruments are mandolins - flatbacks and bowlbacks. I thought you might be interested in seeing this one.

    For whom did they work for?

    pretty cool.. I see mandolas, flatback mandolins, tater bug mandolins, a cello and even a guitar back there.

    Hi,

    That is the town of Kazanlak, which was and still is a center of luthiery in Bulgaria. Unfortunately they do not built mandolins any more or it shall be rather an exemption. I don't know any details as regards the people, but i will try to find out something.
