    I ran across this gem on the Kansas City Craig's list. I concur with the seller: I've never seen anything like it.

    Wow! That looks like a cross between a bass drum, a columned Roman temple and, a cutting board. I wonder how heavy it is?

    There was a thread, which I can't find, about a mandolin on eBay that was held together with wooden dowels, not too long ago. Cousin of this guitar, perhaps?

    The mandolin may have been a little more refined.There are two threads, one with a picture of the mandolin and one without. They are here and here.

    If I was one of those people who had more money than sense, you know, like the guy that paid $1,068 for the corn flake shaped like Illinois (and why not?) I would snatch up every one of these wierd homemade instruments.
    Since I have way less money than sense, I'll just be happy to look at pics.
