The photo was borrowed from Gruhn guitars. A brilliant display of rare perception...

I applaud the maker's attempt at doing something different.. however, looking at the back of this thing, I got the distinct impression that it might cause Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. *wry grin*

    This has already been covered.
    If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???

True, but if you really think about it, almost everything on the board has already been covered at one time or another. BTW, that is not a complaint or a jab, just an observation. A little repetition doesn't bother me at all. But you could make that comment about 90% of threads on the board. I think it would be fun to do a whole thread on people's suggestions of topics we think that have been overdone!

I own an F-body Owsley made by the same man...and it has an odd size, it's bigger than the norm, almost a mandola with a Mandolin scale, I am working out a deal to get the 4 point from Gruhn and that way my Owsley will have a buddy, I'll keep you posted, dy.

I have to say, in the nicest way possible, that I don't really like the 4 point. It doesn't flow very well and just looks wierd. Just MHO.

She's mine...it is number 6 made in 1965, and I have his number 41 made in 1980. Gruhn did me a great job in terms of service and qickness, it is a world class shop as we all know. Any other Owsley's out there?
