Cool! "James Gang Rides Again" was a great album, and they had some other good stuff too. Well now .. Last year Buffalo Springfield reunited for a few shows - never thought that would happen - now this. Wonder who's next? Cream? The Youngbloods? Too bad so many key members of key bands from the era are no longer with us.

Actually, Cream already had a reunion about ten years ago when EC played some shows with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. They sounded as good as ever.

Let's wait and see if there's any mando content. Joe Walsh himself plays mando and has at least two really, really good ones. They could offer new charts--ya' never know

I liked the James Gang at the time, but the show I saw with them in 1972 was one of the all-time worst, stoned-out, messed-up, fumbles of a gig I've ever witnessed, topped only by completely unlistenable shows by Blue Cheer and a catatonic Led Zeppelin on a very bad night at about the same time. Must have been the brown acid.

I'm sure the Gang has done some swell stuff since, but that left such a weird taste and my mouth and unpleasant ringing in my ears that I've never been tempted to listen to them again.

Anyone can have a bad day, but three at the same show? Weird.

There was something on the Carson Daly show one or two nights ago about a project the remaining Doors were collaborating on with some younger musicians. Caught me by surprise, and worth noting because I thought John Densmore wanted to leave the Doors' legacy alone, despite Manzarek and Krieger being more open. I don't think this was a reunion, though, which I don't think they ever will do with a Morrison replacement, but something new. The fact they were even in the same room was noteworthy.

Nice to hear about the Cream reunion. Guess I missed that. Saw them twice back in the day. Wonderful.

Saw The James Gang in 1974 with Soft Machine and Roy Buchanan. RB opened the show and changed my life. The rest of the show was so-so.
