Thread: Hutto mandola

    Seems like a steal at this price but it's been up on the bay several times with no takers. The point on the treble side looks oversized, not right. Minimal description on it too.

    Don, I agree; something about that one just isn't right. It doesn't seem consistent with his F5's!

    The curves do seem a bit funky by I've only seen 1 personally and a few pics of mandos. and really do not know his style or history. Has label and tailpiece has HUTTO

    plus the headstock shape does look like this hutto mando
    as smokey Mnt Guitars.

    I have never played Johnny's Mandolas but I own 121 F-5 Fern Master and many master players have thought it to be exceptional. Johnny would make his mandolins to the exact specification of the buyer, that may be a reason for the difference.
