Hurricane Dolly made landfall 700 miles south east of here near Brownsville, Texas. #El Paso is also about 4,000 ft above sea level. #That didn't stop me from picking "Row, Row, Row your Boat".

I'm not sure if it was still a tropical depression or a "rain event" but we got pounded pretty good.

This was just a break from the storm #

Very cool photos Keith! #It went in 180 miles South of me, what was so strange was, Victoria, which about 50 miles North of me, and Corpus Christi wich is about 50 miles South of me both got hammered with rain and and a few tornadoes. #We got less than a 1/2 inch...go figure! #Them 'canes be strange critters!

Keith that second photo was of the rain that got me in Cruces. I thought it was going to wash the motorhome away. Been staying in a lot the last few days, weather, which has allowed a little more mando time. Keep pickin'. Jim Kirkland

Nearly a week after Dollly blew thru, the crik is finally low enough for a safe 3 mile float. The longer neck of the F5 makes it a superior oar, compared to the oval a:

Very cool pics Keith. I really like that rock wall. I've been doing some of that rock laying stuff at my place so it really stuck out at me.

Sure, woodwizard, eazy for you to say. When we lived in Arkansas, all we had to do was bend over, and there was the next rock for the wall. Here in Kansas you have to dig 'em out of the ground or (gasp) buy them. I sure miss all the good pickers out around Mt. Home, Mt View, Harrison area.
