If the show is about Loud , the Only real feedback cure is a solid body electric mandolin.

Godin A8 would be a bit more acoustic sounding, but those are both Buying another mandolin .

try in-ear monitors, lower the stage volume.

pickups on acoustics hear the back of the room reflections and the monitors , and will amplify that too..

if the piezo strip is inlaid in the bottom of the upper bridge piece,
the top surface can be curved , it's just wood .
the thin strip of piezoelectric stuff doesn't take up much room.

Perhaps find someone knowledgeable to profile and re notch the bridge for best shape.

Look at the VOLUMES of prior posts on other peoples pickup discussions .

In the case of the Fishman. I have installed quite a few of these on mandos with radiused fingerboards. You can safely take up to 1/8" off the top of the bridge. In this case, you would round off the left and right sides. Then file to get the compensation correct and you are good to go!

I do this with a file and flat surface with sand paper. I have also used a belt/disk sander with good results. That is a quick way to ruin an expensive bridge though, so I prefer to do it by hand.

See this thread for starters. And in it (the last post) I have a question that has yet to be answered

As Mandroid said, all pickups will feed back given the chance, but you can start with the tons of stuff written here about controlling pickups. The only mandolin I ever played that NEVER fed back was the Ovation MM68. I played it for ten years, 1,500+ shows, in coffee houses where you're sitting on the speakers to modest rooms with ear-splitting volumes to State Fairs with 50,000 watt PAs. It never fed back. Not once. Not ever. But that requires getting a new mando, and the Ovation isn't for everyone. It's a unique sound that you have to try before you buy.

    I've had good luck with a K&K and a Baggs Para-DI.
