Now that I went to the Texas Pickin Park, I have gone festival crazy.

This one is sponsored by BABA, and is on the weekend of May 16-17 up near Conroe.

    Anyone going?

Ummm plus another one. I didn't even think to post this here in this section. No wonder the general thread got no response.

Hallmark are you Gary? If so man we will finally jam again. Knock on wood. Everytime I think I'm gonna get to one of these fests here in my backyard something happens. Again knock on wood.

If the definition of "you rock" is "you play really loud on tunes you have marginal knowledge of" then I agree.

You, on the other hand, are an artist.

Hey Wheeler, lets get a jam going.

Mandocaster, thanks for the props. My head is still swelling.

I plan to arrive early Friday, we should all meet up. Last year they had a jam room by the pool.

I get out of school next week so I will be there from start to finish. We have a cabin. Not sure where it is. Yessir mr hallmark sir we will jam.

So from experience I'll be the only one with a zouk there but I'll be on geetar most of the time. Me and my troop of hoodlums will be running around the grounds all weekend so if you see us stop us and we will pick a few. Hmmm how will you recognize us you ask? Good question...I'll get back to you on that...

Thanks for the info. Many of of us in

Deep South Texas miss a lot of events due local lack of interest.

...spent the afternoon jamming with a bunch of great guys, including David Hallmark. If you haven't heard David play, you are really missing out. I went to a bass workshop given by Mark Schatz. He's one of my heros, since I heard him on Bela Flecks first solo record, Crossing the Tracks.

I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to rescue the babysitter from my 7 year old
