so my bithday gift this year is a "short scale bouzouki", and i'm supposed to recieve it tomorrow.. the scale length is 23.5", it's tuned as an octave mandolin, and comes with "light strings
.10, .20, .30 and .40 (the bottom 3 pairs are wound as i've read everywhere so far)

i've tried TI's on my mando's and love the feel, I'm getting ready to order a couple sets of the jm11's to try as well on my mandos,, but where can i find strings like these for the longer scale? i found Thomastiks for mandola but it looks like they are for a shorter scale.. like 17 or 18"

i did search a few times, and i've been looking for a couple days, but maybe i'm searching wrong,, i found a couple sets of "flatwounds" from another manufacture, but they were for unison tuning..

Mandola Thomastiks are for shorter scales, that's true.
Sticking to flatwounds for a CBOM family instrument might turn out to be a bit of a niche, since the strong tone features of these instruments need roundwounds to come forward.
I used to play TIs on my smaller Dola years ago, but when I switched to the 21" OM I switched to roundwound strings.

Unison tuning is normal (also the mandola Thomastiks are unison pairs, by the way).
