I think it'd be more useful to say what it is rather than what it isn't.
How about something like "Bouzouki on Board".

bobw!!!!
How thoughtful of you! Thank you!
I love it! It's perfect. I had never thought of that second line, tho, it's terrific! Well done!!!!
I have a little line I use when folks ask me what that instrument is. I say it's an Irish Bouzouki except in airports, where it's an Octave Mandolin.
I resist signs that identify instruments, microphones, other such sorts of gear. It's a virtual invitation to those with an eye for the main chance. I suppose that even the negative could invite some... But I'd sure put that one on the Crump's or the Brian Dean's luggage!
LOL!!!!
Thanks so much!

well I'm glad you enjoy it. I can upload a hi-res version to cafe press if you'd really like a "real" one. I think it'd only be $4, but I havent looked into the details.

Hey Bob,
Is there any cost to you to do that at Cafe Press? I'm not familiar with how they work... I'd definitely buy a couple, with delight, but if there's a cost to initiate the process... ?
Thanks,

it's free to set up a store but of course there's limitations. you can only do 1 of each type of product. I wanted to do another one that said "cittern, bouzouki, or octave mandolin on board" at the bottom, but I needed to choose a different type. so I chose the smaller sticker for that, which has a different layout, so if you want that just trim it. I'd prefer the smaller one myself anyway. I thought about doing a T-shirt (adding "it's" to the phrase) but I doubt I'd wear that myself.
I've done no markup on these for my little "store" I just set up, so what you're paying ($4 after shipping) goes right to cafepress. there's also an option for you to upload an image for a one-off, so if you want the images for that let me know. I figured doing it as a store would be easier for you.
enjoy.

Oh yeah! the "NOT a banjo" fills a need.
Good idea, but I would need one to actually put on my OM. When I take it out of the case, they say, "Is that a banjo?"

The pkg from Cafe Press arrived today! Woohooo!
Thanks, Bob!
If these get the response among my OM pals that my comment made earlier on, I'll be getting some more for gifts.
LOL!!! What fun, thanks!

I sent a note to some friends about the new sticker.
This came back from Zan McLeod:
"I guess we need one for banjo cases that says" I wish this were a Bouzouki"..."
He kills me...!!!
