    Don't know if I ever saw any tab on it or not, but as an aside, the correct title is "False-Hearted Love" written by A.P. Carter (The Carter Family). Lester Flatt did a really nice vocal recording of it.

    There's also a Carter's Blues that's different from different from the Songs #Of the Carter Family Flatt & Scruggs recording -- at least I think so. #I have a New Lost City Ramblers LP with a Carter's Blues on it:

    As I walked out, one morning fair
    To view the fields, and take the air;
    To view the fields, and the meadows 'round,
    I thought I heard some lonesome sound.
    I thought I heard my true love say,
    'Please to turn and come this way.'"
    etc.

    Learned it years ago to play on the Autoharp.

    I guess when I think of "Carter's Blues" I think of the instrumental that Larry Sparks plays which is the same melody as "False-Hearted Love". I think I've got this right?

    Never seen tab for it but, I've seen Larry play it for years. The last time I saw him in person Tim Durant played mandolin but the first time was Wendy Miller, Mike Lilly, and Art Wydner. I had just gotten ma Alvarez and Wendy took me on the bus to show me how he plays "Windy Chimes" and the tuning. He used my strap too! What a cool guy, I will remember that until I die!

    Well, I found the Carter Family version (vocal) and they called it "Carter's Blues", then I got home and dug it out of my Itunes file and Lester and Earl play it as an instrumental and call it "False Hearted Lover". Both the same melody and the same as Larry Sparks played it.

    I have to say that I don't think I have ever heard Lester & Earl's verson. I have heard the Carters verson and I really like Larry Sparks arangment on the instrumental.

    Here's an MP3 of the Carter's Blues I mentioned above, as the Carters originally recorded it.

    And here's a video of Sparks playing it on YouTube. Same tune.
