As it seems, RIGEL does not produce any more.

I did not manage to find a proof for that in the web.
So I'd like to know: Is it true and what's the reason?

I once owned a 10-string-RIGEL and thought it to be a very good instrument...

Rigel went out of business a year and a half ago, and you can probably find several discussions about that here on the Cafe if you search.

The home page on the Rigel Web site, http://rigelmandolin.com, states: "Although Rigel Instruments, LTD closed its doors in August 2006, founder Pete Langdell continues to be available for consultations, repairs, replacement parts and custom work."

I don't know what further "proof" you might require.

The Priest and the Publicans: Gospel bluegrass out of the box.

Emando.com: More than you wanted to know.
