I tried a Weber Vintage oval a that was at IBMA with the old wood and set up by Rick. Great instrument. If I just had not bought an oval A, it would have gone home with me. Even new, it had great tone and played easily.

Played one for about a week. Loved it! Not only did it sound and play very nice, it was one of the prettiest mandolins I've ever seen. I had it on trial and would have bought it without question had a "too good to turn down" deal on a 20's Gibson A not come along at the same time. I still plan on getting one. My only complaint was the frets. They had a higher profile than I like. But I've been told Weber will build any model with whatever frets you like.
Everyone I've heard speak of them say they are beautiful and have an amazing tone. Go ahead Monster...pull the trigger and get you one.
