As many of you know Ive been out of the pocket for a long time. I have been working with my son Brad Tucker trying to get our Tucker guitars up and running and they are doing pretty good. We are thinking now of getting the mandolins back up and running after about 8 years of absence. I don't know if anyone remembers me or not but we will see how it goes. Thanks to all of you who have stood behind me for all these years.

Melvin, Talked to ya in the 90's, remember that ? I'm sure you do. After seeing one of the Reno boys playing one of your mandos, I called. I know that you dont remember our conversation, but that's one mandolin that I will never forget. You gave me some great info on building, which I'm still using today, and I thank you for that. I havent strived to build a mandolin that would be like or equal some of the major brands, but I do strive to build my own Tucker. Glad to see you back to building. Jerry

Is this the same TUCK that I used to converse with on the Bus boards a couple years ago? I think it might be as he told me once that he built mandolins! If it is and you remember me, this is Ace from Florida! I finally got a Gibson (sorry) and am presently taking lessons! One year to date and learning very slowly but I AM up to jamming in public with strangers!

Melvin. Your tree up on cedar hill in Cochran didn't look right without you parked under it last festival.

Boy, am I ever glad to hear you're back! #Somewhere on the Cafe last year I saw a picture of someone wearing a Tucker Mandolin ball cap... as my last name is also Tucker, I WANT ONE! #For now, the cap is all I can afford... maybe someday I'll be able to buy one of your mandolins! #

    P.S.
Found a website with photos of Melvin's fine work, but can't get the link to post correctly! If you do a Google search on his name, it's the one from the madolinexpress site.
