I saw it locally (Knoxville) last week. Interesting show. I like Thile a lot.

Plus you get Mike Compton and Norman Blake with Ralph. The Nickel Creek set was nice too. Got most of it on tape.

....so that was Norman Blake! i was wondering.

I really enjoyed Mike Compton's playing. I remember seeing him for the first time on TV during the "Down from the Mountain" tour and wondering who he was. He didn't seem to 'do' (gasp!) much. But i'm learning that he is a phenomenal player and it seems like he certainly is not there to steal any spotlight from anybody. He seems so professional and courteous in that sense.

So that was Mike Compton on mandolin? cool...

I was wondering why the fiddle got almost all of the solo breaks? Any ideas?

Yeah, I really like Nickel Creek!! They rock...I went to one of their concerts last September, and they were quite amazing.

    Thumbs up

I really want to hear Chris and Mike Marshall play together again. Last time I heard them it was so amazing! They played a lot of classical songs as well as some bluegrass. They were born to perform together.
