    Hi,

On Sam's version of 'Brilliancy' (from Glamour & Grits) there's a fast downward sequence of triplets in the second 'B' section (about 1.17 into the track). How is he picking these triplets? Is it:

    a) All 3 notes picked
    b) 1st of each 3 picked then pull offs for 2 & 3

    or

    c)1st & 3rd of each 3 picked with a pull off from 1 to 2

Makes most sense to me picking all the notes but can't quite hear what he's doing.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Matt

John M. knows best, but I'll chime in and say he is doing down-pull-up repeatedly. At least that is what he does elsewhere - Berserkely, Broadway.

Thanks Alan. Is all of this done on the E string then or does he move across the strings?

    Hmmm.

I'll say he is shifting down on the E string, then doing it on the A string.

Cheers, that makes sense. I've been playing it moving across the strings but that doesn't work with the pull offs so I might need to change for that section.

Thanks for your help with this.

    Wow. Good stuff there...

BTW, is it wrong to hate a 10-year old girl?
